Institute of Mental Health and Hospital Agra, also known as Agra Lunatic Asylum
was established in 1859, in British Raj by the State government of Uttar Pradesh.
The institute is very famous in India for its treatment, research, and training
on human mental disorder. The Course is affiliated with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
University, Agra.

The
following five domains of Psychology dominate the paper:
1.
Statistics & Research Methodology 2. Cognitive Psychology 3. History of
Psychology in India 4. Personality & Developmental Psychology 5. Clinical
Psychology
The majority of
the questions asked are of factual nature.
A detailed review of the question
paper
1.
Statistics and Research Methodology: IMHH asks a lot of questions from these
two portions. Mostly questions have been asked from sampling, validity,
reliability, quasi-experiments, Chi-square et cetera.
2. Cognitive
Psychology: Questions have been asked from learning, attention, memory,
intelligence, and creativity.
3. History
of Psychology: Last year there were 4-5 questions from the history of
psychology in India. Questions were asked from the Mental Health Act, 2017.
4. Personality
& Developmental Psychology: Questions have been asked from different
theories of personality and about different stages of developmental theories
(their order or attributes)
5. Clinical
Psychology: Last year there were questions about different therapies and their
developers. IMHH also asks detailed questions about therapies. There were very
few questions from abnormal psychology (disorders).
Interview process: Candidates were called for an
interview with a ratio of 1:4. Mostly those questions were asked which were
present in the question paper. Statistics and RM questions were asked from
every candidate. However, questions keep changing.
Exam Pattern
The
pattern of examination will be as follows:
1. The paper
for the written test shall consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
2. Total
time allocated for the written test will be 90 minutes
3. There
will be no negative marking
Study material
